Here she was sitting on the edge of the black leather couch in the dimly lit living room, facing a coffee table, next to a lava lamp,  trying to light a cigarette but for the third time she dropped it before it sees the light coming out of her golden Cartier lighter, she leaned down to get it, with her eyes shaking like a beating heart of a wounded soul.

He poured her some vodka and put the glass on the table and like a child forced to take a sour medicine she downed her shot but her eyes were fixed on the cabinet at the corner, then at him again, he nodded back and moved towards it, opened it, brought a mix of pills and placed them on the table.

She garnered them with her two little shaky hands, rested them on her right hand while grabbing the vodka bottle with the other and like a magician she gobbled them and downed some vodka in split second, resting her head on the back of the couch while her fiery red hair being caressed by the blackness of the leather, she breathed in deeply, closed her eyes when a tear started sliding on her face to merge with a growing smile on her lips.
